Reverse Osmosis systems (RO)

Reverse osmosis systems worldwide, have yielded outstanding performance results and in some instances can be seen as a plug-and play opportunity. However, we see every application as a process challenge ensuring that we consider and check all variables, process conditions, required quality levels as well as environmental parameters and characteristics.

AquaPlan Engineers have designed, manufactured and installed RO systems ranging from small skid-mounted systems producing 100 l/hr permeate to larger units producing a couple of mega liters of permeate per day. We design and implement optimised RO processes in the following applications:

1. Borehole water desalination
2. Desalination of underground mine water
3. Sea water desalination
4. Cooling tower blow down desalination
5. Potable water production
6. Pre-treatment to Boiler feed water
7. IX- pre-treatment processes

Each process investigation conducted on RO, will include computer simulation followed by a hydraulic study and sizing of the process. Once the design parameters are set, will the process itself be modeled and size.
